• Yes, the quality of the video is very good, and it adjusts well to darkness......but the videos would likely be a bit darker than if it were not recording through the tinted portion.

• Generally, anything that is visible to the driver should be visible to the camera, however no guarantees can be made in this situation, as degrees of darkness on window tints can vary widely. For best results, an unobstructed view through the windshield is recommended. -MH
