The camera IS recording continuously (assuming it's working properly). It stores the recording on the microSD card. When the card becomes full, it goes back to the beginning and starts recording again, effectively erasing what was previously recorded. The easiest way to get more recording time is to replace the factory installed 4 GB mciroSD card with a 64 GB one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does record in a loop so depending on card size and video quality settings will determine how much time it will hold before overwriting. The file size is always limited so it will not be just one big file.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think even the biggest memory card would save an entire day. The recording quality is so good that the included card appears to hold less than 20 minutes of continuous video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The camera records continuously when powered on. It will loop record and erase what is on the memory card when full. The size of the card will determine how much is recorded before it begins erasing it again. I need only 8 gb, as my trips are never very long but I believe you can put up t a 64 gb, card in
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Dash Cam series of devices is meant to be used to capture footage of specific incidents while driving. Because of this, the device will save a clip of a few minutes in duration before, during, and after any saved or detected incident. Any non-saved video clips will be deleted automatically. The device is not meant to record continuously. I recommend looking into Garmin's VIRB action camera products, which are made with continuous recording in mind. -MH
