“If you change it to 1080 at 60fps, can you catch plate numbers. I am a photographer and usually higher frame rates will able to stop action movement better so maybe it’s not the resolution but the frame rate that is the key to getting plate numbers.”

I would say it is just OK at capturing plate numbers. I have it set to the highest res and you still need to get pretty close to be able to discern the numbers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For video in general, shooting at 60 fps vs 30 fps does not improve resolution. Good resolution is a combined feature of the lens quality, focus, and pixel density-- not the framerate.
