Directions will be useless but maps should be reliable. This unit is clearly intended for ground use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If a twelve volt source is available, I am sure it would work, but I doubt it would provide adequate information for safely piloting an airplane. It may be interesting, but would not provide the kind of data needed for flying, and would probably not be advisable to depend on it for aircraft navigation. I know that GPS devices are available for airplanes, but they are sure to be more expensive. Piloting an aircraft is much more complex than driving an automobile, and there are many restricted areas you are not allowed to fly into.
