“If you get off your route, does it "recalculate" and get you back on it, or do you have to re-enter a new route? One of your reviews said it didn't. If I stop overnight at a motel during my trip, does it pick up my trip in the AM where it left off?”

Yes, this device will recalculate the route when a turn is missed or if you choose to stray from the intended route. The device will display "Recalculating" at the top of the screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you get off your route while on the road it does recalculate to get you where you are going. You do not have to re-enter your destination. If you stop somewhere overnight, I do believe it will pick back up in the morning (I never tried that), But if it does not, it is very easy to type back in your destination before you hit the road again. It is a great device.
