“Does it have to be plugged into the lighter in order to use it?”

• After it has a full charge it will last up to 1 hour without being plugged in. I keep mine plugged in all the time.

• Hi Susan. I recently bought a Garmin 52 for a moving excursion. I found the GPS will shut off if I don't have it plugged in to a power source. I'm still going to play with it to make sure this is the case but using a power source for the time being.
