To clarify, the Drive 52 with Traffic has the traffic receiver built in, and must be used with included charger/power cable, as it appears to contain an antenna; Garmin calls this "Garmin Traffic". Other models, like the 51 use an app you download to your smartphone, and Garmin calls this "LIVE Traffic". There is also an optional Garmin GTM 60™ HD Digital Traffic Receiver which has the receiver built in to the charger/power cable and can convert a compatible unit without an internal receiver for traffic updates to one that can, like the standard Drive 52.
