I have mine installed only a few inches above the dash on my truck. I did find that the lane departure picks up the solid yellow line well, a solid white line OK, but not a dashed white center line.

Please try again later.The Driveassist 50lmt doesn’t need to be mounted up high for the Lane Departure Warning System to work properly but you do want to make sure the camera has been correctly aligned and that the Camera Placement is set correctly.
