“I purchased this unit & when setting it up I was asked to select a country & I selected Southern Africa where I am going to use it but it has defaulted back to North America. How can I get it to recognize Southern Africa? Thanks”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe this unit can be used in South Africa. It is only loaded with North America data (USA, Canada). You might contact Garmin and ask them if the data is available for this unit. I suspect you may have to buy a unit specifically for South Africa.
