I recently purchased it and as i was driving it already knew where slower traffic was. Not sure about accidents as they may have to be reported first. No fees. Love the ease of use and voice commands.

The app also allows you to enter an address on your phone and it will automatically connect and load the route info to the GPS. No fee subscription is required. I recently purchased for a trip and was pleasantly surprised with the unit. I now prefer it over using Maps on my phone.

Sometimes, its on the side road an not actually on the road you are driving on. it will ding at you if you are driving too fast and coming up to a light, or if you are coming up to a school.
