“Can I include the name of a city or town in the street number and name entry steps?s I don't like that Garmin first searches for all cities and towns that have the entered street number and name, then presents a list to choose from. Takes too much time.”

After selecting 'Where To' and before selecting 'Address', next to search bar is a option to change from near (current location) to 'A different city', you can then type in city name. You still have to select from city/state list, but list populates almost immediately. Address search will then start with that city.
