“Does this come with a traffic receiver in the box”

• My unit had only the GPS, Power Cable, Suction Mount, and Instructions in the box. The traffic function seems to be supported by the GPS radio installed within the unit. I Just encountered an accident on the highway the other day and the GPS reported it on screen with an estimated delay time.

• No. Traffic only works if you run the Garmin app on your cell phone and connect to the GPS with Bluetooth. I returned the GPS because it does not have an FM traffic receiver built-in and will not work with the power cord traffic receiver from my old Nuvi.

• Yes, the Garmin DriveSmart 86 has an embedded traffic receiver and utilizes the packaged vehicle power cable as the antenna for the receiver.
