A:Answer As with any electronic device there is always the risk--If this is a typical gps system, it's hard to say how long it will last, depends on the quality of the assembly, it could last a month or it could last 5 years. My experience is most electronic gadgets like gps systems will only last a few years with good care before needing refurbishing or replacing, probably does that way on purpose.
