QuestionDoes this unit need an external antennae for the GPS? The unit will be inside the closed cabin of the boat.

- Answer This will depend on where you position the Garmin echoMAP 94sv Fishfinder/Chartplotter. We would encourage you to position it where you think you would permanently put it and then turn it on to see if it acquires satellites. If it does not, then you will need to use the external GPS antenna (Garmin GPS 19x HVS). {CW}

- Answer The echoMAP 94sv is not compatible with our radar systems. For radar-capable chartplotters, please see the Garmin marine GPSMAP series. -LB
