Can the GPS be used for driving null

Using the native gps/mapping system, it is possible, but I wouldn't recommend it, since it will likely be highly distracting, and that would make for dangerous driving. If you want a google maps style direction and map, I would suggest looking into r.485 maps. It can be used to send google map data to the watch for watch based directions and a live (if extremely basic) map.

Yes it can. You will need to load routable maps via Garmin Basecamp and create a Navigation activity with routing changed to Automobile.
