QuestionI have a Sam. phone. I also have a wireless network in my home. I want my child to be able to use my phone in a 1 mile radius and want to be able to text her. If my phone is at home, will my phone work normally with her out wearing the watch?

- Answer Your child would need to have a phone with them and the device paired and the Live Track feature set up. Their phone would send the data to your email address so you could track them. You would have to use a computer or phone to watch the track. - Answer absolutely, as far as wrist HR monitors are concerned. I would recommend you look up DC Rainmaker's blog (address is his name). He does a deep dive into every reputable GPS enable watch including the 35. All wrist monitors are going to be a hair less accurate than chest straps - but the 35 has the same HR monitor as my 735 and I ran with that in a half just this past month and it was very accurate.

- Answer The Forerunner 35 does not have a golf profile. You’ll need to look at getting a golf watch from Garmin (our approach series) or get a vívoactive HR which has running and golf on it. ~JH

LiveTrack NOTICE Use caution when sharing your location information with others. The LiveTrack feature lets you share your trip with contacts from your smartphone and your social networking accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter. While you are sharing, viewers can track your current location, recently visited locations, and the path of your recent travels in real time. This feature requires a smartphone running the Smartphone Link app. This feature is available only for product models ending in LMT-S. Debbie with Garmin

- Answer No, you do not need to download any apps, however, for updating software purposes its best it is registered either on a phone or computer. However, for it to count steps it doesn't need any additional apps. Debbie with Garmin

- Answer Yes, if doing an outdoor run and acquiring GPS you do not need your phone to see the data. You will need to have your data fields set properly to read those specific stats if you want to see them during a run. Debbie with Garmin

- Answer Yes. The watch doesn't play music, but can help control the music on your phone. You need to buy a watch that can load music onto the watch if you want to use it for music without your phone. I have the forerunner 645 music, for example, that does this.
