• i don't know what features your forerunner has but I am assuming as part of Garmin's runner's series it does couple via ANT/Bluetooth to their own HR monitors. I demoed several of Garmin's current models before settling on the Fenix3. All of the units connected quickly and without any problem. Each model does 'pair' slightly differently however so make sure you read the forerunner instruction guide (easily downloaded from Garmin's website).
