“How do I download new maps to my Garmin GPS I purchased and am trying to download new maps to my Garmin GPS. I have a Garmin nuvi 255w and have a regular USB cable plugged into my pc and into my GPS but my device is not picked up and I seem to be stuck. Is there a special USB cable that I need?”

The nuvi 255w does require a data transfer mini-USB cable (as opposed to a charging-only cable). For technical support, please visit the support section of the Garmin official webpage and we'll be glad to assist you.
