Generally the more money you spend, the more features. It is hard to answer your question without knowing what you need. I would suggest making sure you have the following features: Traffic updates, lifetime map updates (you do need to plug the GPS into your computer about once per year to update the maps), and lane change info (the GPS will show you an image of what lane to be in - helpful in intersections with lots of turn options). Other things to consider is a larger screen which is easier to see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Garman. Worth extra money. Touch screen easy to use. Easy to remove from windshield for re programming, then reattach. These simple things make a big difference that can easily become frustrating, and prevent desire of use. Menu is much easier to navigate than the TomTom I had before. When considering size, consider how much viewing area you will be loosing. Bigger isn't always better in some cases.

You can go from basic directions with voice prompt up to Bluetooth enabled (for hands free calling), voice activated navigation, large screen devices. I would recommend getting a Lifetime Map version so there is no need to pay for future map updates. \tw/
