“I'm interested in buying the Garmin-2589 LMT and my concern is will it drain my battery since my travel distance is only 30 minutes one way? And how accurate is the traffic updates? I currently use "Waze" App and it's a life saver.”

I bought mine about a month ago. Used it all week. Did not have any battery issues. Traffic updates for mine pretty good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently purchased this GPS to use for a 5 day trip. The car rental company wanted $15.00 per day to rent a GPS!! Thanks, but no thanks!! I headed to Best Buy & purchased this (on sale) for a great price. Saved myself money as I no longer need to rent a GPS...just pop it in my suitcase. To answer your question: It was ready w/ current maps right out of the box. I plugged it in and drove many places w/ no problems. The longest drive I took, one way, was about 4 hours and I never had any issues with draining the battery. Cannot reply to "accurate traffic updates" sorry. I highly recommend this GPS as long as once a year you remember to update the maps. Hope this helped.
