• Any USB charger will work. Wall/car/portable battery, they all work fine.

• I don't think so. You really don't need a charger other than the one in your car when you plug it in. The unit stays charged for quite a while after taking it out of the car.

• I chat messaged with Garmin website. Wall charger for 2589 is available ONLY on Garmin website. Cost is "approximately" 26.00 plus delivery charge. Do NOT use any other wall charger even if it is a Garmin charger. Hope this is helpful.
