Why do you have to be 18 to buy this? null

I needed to drive a friend to his job in different cities in the state and my vehicle did not come with the built in GPS. I do like having one now that I bought the Garmin NUVI 57. I would like it to learn shortcuts faster and get me to the correct address on time when I go.
