Yes. The Garmin Express application, (used for registering and updating compatible Garmin devices) can transfer Favorites and Routes from one compatible device (including a nüvi 255W) to another. Before transferring information, a backup for each device should be completed in Garmin Express. Once a backup is complete, the information can be transferred to another compatible device.
