“Recharging Battery inside Home Can I use my cell phone's charger to re-charge my Garmin nuvi 65LM if the charger's output voltage is close to, but, not exceeding the voltage output specifications stated on the supplied vehicle power cable? I would like to be able to re-charge my Garmin inside my home or hotel room when needed and not leave it unattended in my car for re-charging purposes. Thank you for your assistance.”

Garmin does not recommend using third party adapters or chargers with your device since they are not tested or supported for use with our devices. When using an AC adapter to charge your Garmin device, it is recommended that you use a Garmin branded charger designed specifically with your device in mind. You may also charge the battery by connecting it to a computer.
