No. There is at least one "Motorhome" vehicle that you store your dimensions, and at least one "Car" vehicle that has no dimensions. Each can have a different icon on the map, too, so you know which one is selected. The "Car" does not follow the "Motorhome" routing restrictions - it works as a regular GPS would.

Then when you are starting out on a trip simply select the appropriate profile and then program your destination. Not too complicated. Garmin anticipated use on multiple vehicle types and sizes.
