It uses the same amount of data your phone uses to stream the same thing. Since there is no video being streamed over the air, there won't be a significant increase in data usage whether you use your phone for music or through Alexa... it's still all going thru your phone.

Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus will use your phone data plan to operate. For example, if you stream music through the Amazon Music Skill on the device, the data usage will be listed as Garmin Speak or Garmin Speak Plus on your phone, not the Amazon Music Skill. For information on how to check your data usage, refer to your cellular carrier and/or phone's operating manual.
