Can you disable Alexa and just use the camera? null

Yes, you can simply use the device as a dashcam. By default, the device immediately starts recording video when it turns on. It continues recording, overwriting the oldest, non-saved video until it turns off. You can view and transfer photos and videos by connecting the device to your computer using a micro-USB cable.

You need not disable Alexa. Each time you get back in your car, you have to reconnect your phone's BT to the device. So when you don't want to use Alexa, sumply don't complete the reconnect. (Yes, its already paired, but you have to reconnect it each time.) PITA too.
