• Yes. Similar to in car systems, the Garmin Speak slightly mutes whatever you have playing in order to put the directions on your car speakers. This works as long as you have it connected via Bluetooth ( or have your car hardwired to the IPhone via lighting cable in my case with a Honda vehicle)
