I’d imagine it wouldn’t give you too many problems besides maybe a funny reading if it picks up your keel. Even if the transducer doesn’t work 100% of the time while sailing, it’ll still ping up some data when it can. I’ve seen some motorboats lose bottom readings from skipping waves but it randomly will pick up an accurate reading while in the water.
