“Will the WiFi connection allow real time monitoring when away from the car ?”

• Only if you have the camera hooked up to your car power supply. Geek Squad Mobile will do this but you have to pay for the service AND you need to purchase the wiring kit. AND it will ONLY come on IF somebody gets too close in the VIEW of the OUTSIDE facing camera. This is a dash cam. Not a security monitor system.

• Unless you have Parking Mode installed (not standard), the unit will turn off when the car engine is turned of.
