• Yes. I think it is also known as usb- type B. It will not fit your phone as anything other than apple uses Type C. It's what I use to charge my MP3 player and for my GPS.

• The 12 volt had the mini usb on the end. The picture on the box was wrong. It took a while in the store before someone finally looked in the box. So I suggest check the contents out first.
