• No phone plan, just a compatible phone that you can download the Garmin Connect Mobile App. The device only needs to pair with a phone to upload data to Garmin Connect or to download software update to your device. Debbie with Garmin

• You don’t need a phone plan, you listen to your music on an app (Spotify, Apple music, etc.). You need a premium account in either of these apps though
