The vivoactive HR will show the time and date on the screen when the timer is off. There is also an option to view time of day information while performing an activity.

When you use GPS tracking it is replaced by customizable statistics about the activity you are doing (e.g., when walking you can see elapse time, distance minutes/mile, heart rate... for biking you could see miles/hour). Even in tracking mode, if you hit the back button you can see date and time if you want and later return to the activity specific screen.

The one I use constantly displays time, date, number of steps, number of steps goal, number of floors climbed, number of floors goal, current heart rate, and battery status. Lots of good info on all the time. PS: Owned watch for ~ 3 week and love it so far.
