• We apologize for the confusion, that question was written for a vívosmart HR, not a vívoactive HR. The vívoactive does have GPS the previous answer has been edited to reflect that. Thank you for pointing that out. ~JH

• The device does have built in GPS, the time is automatically set by GPS.Plus if you turn on the pacfic app for your workout while you are working out it will show the name of the city or gym you are in on the my day app in Garmin Connect

• The Garmin employee that said there is no GPS obviously has no knowledge of the product or ability to even read the specs and description of the product. The fact that a Garmin employee posted that makes me wonder if I should trust anything produced by Garmin.
