• Yes, it has a battery. No charger to have to deal with.

• Yes, which is great because you do not have to worry about charging it all the time. The battery life should be about a year.

• Per specs: One replaceable CR1632 coin cell If you pop the tracker out of the band, there's tiny screws on the back to allow access to the battery.
