It resets everything at midnight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vívosmart resets your steps to zero each night at midnight, marking the start of a new day. If the sleep time you entered ends before you actually wake up, any and all sleep movement thereafter will be interpreted as step movement for that day. The calculation of calories burned includes both active and inactive calories. Active calories involve movement (300 steps, although minimal, will still affect this). Inactive calories are based on your metabolism (BMR) which is calculated constantly even when you aren't moving. This is based on your user profile information (gender, age, weight, height, etc.). Even if you don't move a muscle all day, your vívosmart will still calculate calories burned based on your metabolism. What you're seeing is your inactive calories burned as of midnight plus the calories burned attributed to the 100-300 steps it thinks you took. -LB
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It resets at midnight, despite what you set as your sleeping schedule. This is particularly annoying for me since I work nights. You probably have steps from moving around in bed. Put the watch in sleep mode (hold the screen and use the moon crescent) to avoid it counting in your sleep.
