• Not continuously but it syncs often throughout the day and you can manually sync anytime.

• It can, via Bluetooth. I turn the Bluetooth off on my Garmin because otherwise it drains the battery on my phone quickly. I turn it on once a day or whenever, to sync, then I turn the Bluetooth back off.

• Yes, but if you have an iPhone 6 and you close the app the weather will disappear. Kind of a pain in the rear.
