I know some bands (the old Body Media) required a monthly service subscription to gain access to your activity/sleep information, and I also believe others like Fitbit may have an optional charges to gain access to more information. • I downloaded an app to my android device. My viofit2 device sync with it & I get all the info I need free. It tracks on a daily, weekly monthly, yearly basis. I love diagrams & charts

• I am able to see sleep statistics inside the app without any additional fees. It shows a graph of sleep statistics and also of movement stats but it is not as detailed as a medical device. Still a good reference guide.

• There is no fee that I have seen and I have looked at the activity/sleep tracking devices myself. If there is anything special which requires a fee I have not seen it yet.

• There is no fee for the app. You have to use a separate to log what you eat, but MyFitnessPal is also free.

• I have access to sleep tracking, active minutes, daily heart rate monitoring, and all features advertised without any subscription fees. Haven't seen any offers or ads for subscription service.
