“Is it easy to turn the alert sound off? Also is battery replacement easy/who does this? I am on the phone all day at work. I cannot have the alert going off. can i turn this off permanently? Also who replaces the battery after a year?”

Yes, you can disable the audible alert for this device. The battery is consumer replaceable. The device takes two CR1632 batteries. ~JH
