• no the device tracks on your wrist and uploads to your phone through an ap or to your computer when you put it in sync mode.

• No. But to input your activity the vivofit records you must sync it to your phone via bluetooth.

• no you can sync your fit bit as many times a day you want or just once a day. It will count your steps as long as you have the fit bit on.

• No - you will just need to sync via phone or PC/Laptop.

• The vívofit will count your steps as a stand-alone unit. For the recorded data to appear in Garmin Connect, sync via Garmin Express on a computer or Garmin Connect Mobile on a compatible smart phone. ^DK
