• If you wear the HR monitor, yes. I use My Fitness Pal, the best app to track all your health.

• Please keep in mind, the Garmin vívofit Fitness Band is designed to be used for running and walking. However to answer your question, yes the device can calculate calories burned when you have paired the Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) with the device and started the activity. {CW}
