• The vívofit has a waster resistant rating of 5 ATM (50 meters). This is a high enough water resistance rating that it can be worn while surface swimming without causing damage. Surface swimming means the device can be used while swimming (no scuba diving) in fresh or salt water, but please rinse the device after use in salt water. -JPK
