Hi, where is the inflow/air vent of this microwave. We are building a custom cabinet for this and was wondering if if we need “air space” for ventilation more on the back or on the side (if side, then left or right side).

Hi - Thanks for viewing GE JES1072SH! Our countertop microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. Allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. Yes, you need to allow for air movement around this model,
