Hi irishh7- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your consideration! Yes, the Cooking Complete Reminder is a beep that occurs once every minute after the normal cooking cycle has ended. It is designed to remind you when the cooking time has completed. Begins 1 minute after the 'Cooking Complete Signal'. This is different from the 'Cooking Complete Signal' which is 4 beeps heard only once and directly at the end of the cooking cycle. To terminate 'cooking complete reminder', touch Clear/Off or open the door. Operates on the cycles that terminate automatically, such as Time Cook, Defrost, etc. All cooking functions which do not terminate automatically, such as Temperature cook/hold will not have a "Cooking Complete Reminder". Audible aid when recipes call for standing time after cooking- No need to set the kitchen timer. Just keep track of the beeps from the 'Cooking Complete Reminder'. (i.e.: after 5 beeps / 5 minutes have expired). Thanks for checking with us!
