• Yes, ours in not connected to any thing but an electric plug. We walk up to the microwave, put our plate in, press 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes etc.

• Hi - This is a fantastic question! You can utilize all of the cooking features without connecting the unit to WIFI. The only feature you can't take advantage of is scan-to-cook, otherwise it operates just like any other microwave you've owned. We hope you choose GE for your home. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
