• The button marked "Timer", is a digital kitchen timer. You don't need to be using the microwave. You can put a cake in your regular oven and set this convenient digital timer to alert you when the time is over. This digital timer counts down, displaying the remaining minutes--- I like this feature because it is easier to use and easier for me to see the remaining time at a glance than my regular oven timer.
