Since the microwave is 13" x 21 3/4" and my opening is 27"x17", I needed the 29" trim kit. Unfortunately the sales person transpose one number and the sent and installed the 27" trim kit. This did not cover the opening. The 29" kit was ordered and installed and looks great. All I can tell you is if your opening is close in size to mine you need the 29" trim kit.
