A:AnswerThe lights and fan would be blocked. Not a good idea. Also the fan blows out of the upper front, so it would blow in your face, if it got enough air from the bottom. You’ll probably make in have a short lifespan
A:AnswerOutside width is 29 7/8 inches and outside height is 15 1/2 inches. You'll need an opening of 30 inches wide to accommodate this over the range microwave.
A:AnswerWell I hoped for that too, but you’ll have to do both just follow the GE templates for wall & top cupboard, take your time and get it right first time!
A:AnswerNo. It is meant to be installed under a cabinet. The vent is on the bottom of the unit. I would recommend looking specifically for a countertop unit-they are less expensive and more compact.
A:AnswerDepends on what version of model you got. I learned on the warranty registration page there are at least 8 different versions that all have the same model number. Ridiculous huh? As an engineer with training in parts classification systems, that is a no no. The unit's owner's manual on Best Buy says unit has incandescent bulbs, while the manual on GE site says it has halogen. Both say two lights and if I remember 40W. The unit delivered to me in May has only one cooktop light and it has a blade style base with 2 prongs. It is marked with Aglaia 130v 50w. This light is way brighter than my old unit. I thought I might be disappointed that there was only one light but it is actually more than adequate as all four corners of cooktop are well iluminated.
