- Answer Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. Yes, this model has the option of converting it to a non-vented recirculating exhaust. In fact, all of our over-the-range microwaves can be vented through the top, out the back or recirculating. You will need to follow the instructions in the Installation Instructions on how to properly change the venting. If you are changing from a vented unit to a non-vented unit, you will need to purchase a charcoal filter. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

- Answer Hi-this is Sue from GE Appliances. It's exciting to hear of your interest! Over-the-range microwaves must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to. - Answer Installation is not included with the price and it is somewhat time consuming especially if you've never installed a microwave before. It is important to read and understand the directions if doing it yourself.
