“After many years my GE Spacemaker XL1800 microwave has broken and I would like to replace it with another GE over the counter range that has the same dimensions and quality . Any suggestions will be very welcome.”

While we regret that your microwave has now broken, we have multiple replacement options. Unfortunately, without the specific model number of your Spacemaker XL1800, we cannot determine the exact dimensions (several different model numbers were produced in the Spacemaker XL1800 series). If you can reach out to us, here or over social media, with the model number, we would be glad to review further. You can also check our GE website for our various microwave options, if you wish; dimensions will be listed on the product’s page. We have over-the-range options (which can also be installed under a cabinet without a cooking surface below, though you would need to make sure the height clearances in the Installation Instructions are still met) as well as countertop options.
